About Johnathan Edwards
Beginnings are hard.
I am a bit of a polymath. I have experience in a diverse range of disciplines.
Most importantly, I’m a father and a husband. I’m an author, medical doctor, cyclist, runner, tennis enthusiast, world traveler, fluent French Speaker, and licensed multi-engine pilot.
I recently did a SPEAK Talk in New York on my book, The Revolutionary Ketamine - How a Little-Known Drug Stops Suicide / SPEAK Health. Here’s the link:
I write about suicide and ketamine, anesthesia, first responders and mental health, elite protectors, medical director at an IT company called Vanguard Integrity Professionals in Las Vegas, Nevada. I tend to look at things differently, and in my way. I love studying longevity, Voltaire, the electron transport chain, and Nietzsche.
I love working with Professor Veronique Billat at BillaTraining.com, who’s world-renown for teaching marathon runners the art and science of variable-pace running and how to not hit the wall. We even wrote a book called The Art & Science of Variable Pace Running.
Some of the athletes I help include Francis Ngannou (Boxing & MMA), Miesha Tate (UFC), Zach Osborne (motocross), Tom Vialle (motocross), Brenda Martinez (Olympic runner), Ricky Brabec (Dakar rally), Todd Duffee (MMA), Colin Altamirano (tennis), and many others.
Why this? Why now?
That’s a great question. I am constantly learning about something, whether it’s anesthesia, mental health, suicide, ketamine, psychedelics, France, sports medicine, cycling, motocross, tennis, marathon running, the Dakar Rally, Pain Medicine, Percutaneous Hydrotomy, aviation, all things Optimized Fat Metabolism, Tianchi Chinese herbs, optimized lab testing, The Broken Science Initiative, and more.
I hope that I can read for you, write the stories and create the best resource for people who care about these subjects. It’s not enough just to read the internet, you have to cultivate a sense of proportion and synthesis in order to make sense of it.
I’m looking to build a multifocal community.
This is different from your typical newsletter. I will write about niches about my journeys, sports, medicine, France, book reviews, Road Bike Action articles, and aviation. I will post articles and chapters from my books. Hopefully, it’ll be attractive to everyone.
